This policy applies to the game Apex Verge (the "Game"), developed and produced by Manco ("we", "us"). We say plainly which of your data the Game uses, where it is kept, and how to delete it.
1. Summary
- You can play as a guest without signing up.
- Your account details, race record, ranked rating and settings are stored on your own phone. When the Game starts it only asks our server for the latest version and maintenance notices; only when you turn on Cloud Save are your account identifier, nickname and game data sent to our servers (see "Server connection and online features").
- The Game has no ads, no tracking, and no analytics or crash-reporting tools.
2. Data the Game uses
The following is stored only in the Game's storage on this phone:
- Guest: a random number and nickname created on the phone, with no name or contact details.
- Sign in with Apple: the account identifier Apple provides and, if you agree to share them, your name and email (which may be Apple's private relay address). Used to show your account name and keep each account's record apart.
- Google Sign-In (in versions that offer it): the account identifier, name, email and profile picture address Google provides.
- Game data: race results (track, position, time, best lap), ranked rating and tier, the cars and drivers you chose, and sound and voice settings.
3. What we do not do
- We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, and the Game does not ask for these permissions.
- We do not use the advertising identifier or track you across apps or websites.
- We do not sell your data or give it to third parties for marketing.
4. Third-party services
Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In are handled by Apple and Google under their own privacy policies; your phone talks to them directly and we do not see that exchange. Apple: apple.com/legal/privacy; Google: policies.google.com/privacy.
The race official's voice is produced by the phone's built-in speech feature; the text only goes to the speech engine on your phone.
5. Keeping and deleting data
- Data stays on your phone until you delete it; with Cloud Save on, the backup on our server is kept until you delete the account.
- Settings → Account → Delete account removes the current account and all its race records and ranked history from this phone, and for an account that used Cloud Save also its data on our server; this cannot be undone. Uninstalling the Game removes all its data from the phone.
- If you used Sign in with Apple you can also stop the Game using your Apple ID in iPhone Settings → your name → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple.
6. Security
Data is kept in the app's private storage, protected by iOS / Android. No storage is perfectly safe; please look after your device.
7. Children
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; without Cloud Save no account or game data reaches us. Minors should ask a parent or guardian before using Apple or Google sign-in or turning on Cloud Save.
8. Server connection and online features
When the Game starts, your phone asks our server for the latest version and maintenance notices. The server receives the app version, the system (iOS or Android) and your IP address, to run the service and keep it secure; it does not include your account, name or game data.
Only when you turn on Cloud Save in Settings does our server keep: your account identifier (for a guest, a number this phone made; with Sign in with Apple or Google, the identifier they give and the name and e-mail you agreed to share), your nickname and your game data (level, prize money, garage parts, team, race results, best laps, gifts claimed), to back it up and let you get it back on a new phone. Turning Cloud Save off stops the uploads; deleting the account deletes the data on our server too.
This version has no online races or online leaderboards. Before they are added, this policy will be updated to say what is sent and why.
9. Changes
When this policy changes, the "last updated" date above changes too; significant changes are announced in the app.
